ITER-India office is presently located within the premises of Institute for Plasma Research (IPR). IPR is located on the banks of the Sabarmati river near the Indira Bridge in village Bhat, Gandhinagar district, Gujarat state, on the western part of India. It is approximately midway between the cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. IPR can easily be reached from Ahmadabad, being just about 5 Kms from the Ahmedabad airport, and 14 Kms from the Ahmedabad railway station. Ahmedabad has frequent flights from Mumbai(45min) and Delhi (1hr30min). It is also very well connected by the rail route to these and other cities. Private taxis and autorickshaws can be hired at the airport and railway station to reach the Institute. Two other well known landmarks close to the IPR are the Mother Dairy and the Kanoria Hospital.
